At the information board in Fadretsch we follow the sign with the number 610 and shortly afterwards we cross the Rein da Medel on a historic stone bridge. After the pretty chapel in Pali we hike uphill on a snow-covered road uphill to its end. This is followed by an ascent to the Maiensässen in Plauns. This can go quite nicely in the legs with fresh snow, but at the top a longer flat section through the forest awaits us, which lets us take a deep breath and allows us between the fir trees again and again new views of the mountain and valley. On the hill of Stagias we dive into a shady forest for a long time, we move loosely and we look forward to having the sun on our faces again soon. After the forest we already see our goal, the buildings of the Alp Pazzola. Here we leave Route 610 and we hike in open terrain towards the alp, which is located on a hill. At the top, the low views are wonderful. To the west we see Sedrun and eastward sit the Surselva and Disentis at our feet. We are looking for a sunny place between the alpine huts and resting out, because it would be a pity to start the way back immediately.

ascent variant: start in Mompé Medel and climb on the north side to Stagias. (better snow safety)

descent variant: Follow at the last branch of Route 610 to Tegia Nova, with descent to Platta

The route is signposted, but those who are not familiar with the area are advised to print out the topo map for the tour and carry it with them. Hike back from Alp Pazzola on the same path.

At the start board in Fadretsch/Curaglia we follow the signs no. 610 to the left to the Maiensässen in Plauns and to Stagias. At the signpost turn left on the snow-covered alpine road to Alp Pazzola. After the forest, we leave Route 610 and continue walking in a straight direction. The descent takes place on the same route.
