Description
We start our hike in Curaglia on the little-used road to Mutschnengia, and soon we can turn left onto a road. We cross the Rein da Medel over a Roman bridge. It is believed that already in the Middle Ages the merchants and pilgrims crossed the stream at this point. We also take a look at the pretty little chapel in Pali, which dates back to the 17th century. From here the path climbs evenly until we finally reach the edge of the forest on a hiking trail.
After a short and steep descent we see them! The suspension bridge made of larch wood has a span of almost 100 meters and in the middle we have a deep view of 40 meters. It was created by forestry apprentices in just 4 weeks.
Between the sunburnt houses and stables of the village of Mutschnengia we find some beautiful photo subjects. Time seems to have stood still.
At the lower end of the village we find the trail back to the valley and back to Curaglia.
