Description
We start our hike in Cumpadials very leisurely, first on a forest path through the alder forest along the Rhine, later on a paved side road to the year-round inhabited village of Cavardiras. Soon we will see the silhouette of the 17th century sanctuary dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. On a forest road we continue the way, through shady forests and past mountain pastures.
Later, a hiking trail leads us through the two ditches Dargun da Pardomat and Dargun da Falens. Then we are here! Idyllically embedded in meadows and forests lies the turquoise lake in front of us. We unpack the wool blanket and set up for a longer stay, with swimming trunks and enough provisions. True to the motto: "Listen as you hear nothing" (Karl Valentin), we absorb the silence in us. With the binoculars we search the slopes above the lake, because this is deer and roe deer territory.
On the way back to the valley we descend to the village of Laus. Here time seems to have stopped and we admire the pretty houses and the well-kept gardens before we take the last part of the hike under our hiking boots.
