Description

Directly opposite the hospice on the Lukmanier Pass, a hiking trail leads towards Passo di Gana Negra. We follow this until we reach the pass, whereby the bike has to be pushed or carried most of the 500 meters of altitude. Whew! Once at the top, however, we are immediately enthusiastic about this unique landscape. Black stone giants made of Graubünden slate are scattered in the green mats, which form a very special contrast in color and shape. We meander between these stones downhill into the Val Bovarina to the Capanna Bovarina.

We agree that we have now earned a delicious meal and let ourselves be pampered from the Ticino cuisine.

Mostly on single trails we roll down to Campo Blenio concentrated. A last highlight gives us the drive over the old access road between Campo Blenio and Olivone. This is partly carved into the rocks, from which it drips down again and again. Delightful. However, we should only allow ourselves a deep view into the creek bed below us if we stop briefly.

From Olivone there is a bus back to the Lukmanier Pass.

Atone: The old road between Campo Blenio and Olivone is currently closed. Avoid main road. As of 8.4.21

Geheimtipp

Ab Capanna Bovarina you can also drive on the access road to the valley.

Pay attention to the bus timetable! The bike is taken for free!

Directions

From the Lukmanier Pass we follow the hiking trail to the Passo di Gana negra. There we take the left trail towards Capanna Bovarina. At the Alpe di Bovarina we continue over the meadows towards Capanna Bovarina. After a short stretch on a natural road, the trail turns right to Capanna Bovarina. At the Capanna Bovarina we follow the hiking trail, which turns left just before the hut. Shortly later we turn right onto the hiking trail towards Campo Blenio. This trail leads into a natural road, which we follow to the next village. There we turn right onto the road and drive down to the bridge. Immediately after the bridge, a hiking trail turns left, follow it until we reach a natural road. On this we drive uphill to an old stable. There the road leads into a single trail, which leads steeply down to Campo Blenio. There we follow the road to Olivone, but turn just outside Campo Blenio at the two buildings to the left of the road on the hiking trail, which leads outside the gallery along the road. After the gallery, the hiking trail leads into the street, but turns left again onto the old road just before the tunnel. We follow this along the rocks to Olivone.
