Lukmanierpass - Passo di Gana Negra -Olivone

Directly opposite the hospice on the Lukmanier Pass, a hiking trail leads towards Passo di Gana Negra. We follow this until we reach the pass, whereby the bike has to be pushed or carried most of the 500 meters of altitude. Whew! Once at the top, however, we are immediately enthusiastic about this unique landscape. Black stone giants made of Graubünden slate are scattered in the green mats, which form a very special contrast in color and shape. We meander between these stones downhill into the Val Bovarina to the Capanna Bovarina.
We agree that we have now earned a hearty meal and let ourselves be pampered from the Ticino cuisine.
Mostly on single trails we roll concentrated down to Campo Blenio. A final highlight is the drive along the old access road between Campo Blenio and Olivone. This is partly carved into the rocks, from which it drips down again and again. Delightful. However, we should only allow ourselves a deep view into the creek bed below us if we stop briefly.
From Olivone a bus goes back to the Lukmanier Pass.
Attention: The old path between Campo Blenio and Olivone is currently closed. Avoid main road. Booth 8.4.21
From Capanna Bovarina you can also drive on the access road to the valley.
Pay attention to the bus timetable! The bike is taken for free!
