Selva Secca Lukmanierpass, Round Trip
Show all 10 images
This tour is not part of the signalled snowshoe trail network. We are in open spaces where we have to assess the dangers ourselves.
Immediately at the car we mount the snowshoes and we follow the tracks of the snowmobiles and other snowshoe hikes down to the creek. We balance over the bridge over the Brenno, which flows silently there. Through the now loose Arvenwald we behave quite quietly, because here also snow hares live. The gnarled arvens wear original hats made of snow - a wonderful photo. After a short time we step out of the forest and in front of us is the Alpe Stabbia Nuovo. The high-voltage line tarnishes the nature experience only slightly and serves as a guide for us. We hike in a south-eastern direction so that we always have the wires nicely on the left, because this is the way to find the entrance to the Selva Secca. There we now go down in the forest into a wildromantic valley where a narrow bridge leads us over the stream. The landscape is varied, open areas and forest alternate. At the Rusticos in Pian Segno we take a break. In Acquacalda we keep to the right of the pass route and we follow the hiking trail through the loose Arvenwald to Alpe Pozzetta and back to the parking lot in Casaccia.
