Description
With creative ideas in mind, we start our hike at the Oberalp Pass, into Val Maighels. On the way we enjoy the diverse alpine flora with Turkish bunch or purple gentian, bubbly mountain streams and the clear blue mountain lakes. On the plain plidutscha we cross the young Rhine, which still flows here as a lively stream to the valley. And after the lakes Urlaun and Carin, we reach the Piogn Crap, where the water of the Rein da Maighel squeezes through a narrow crevice in the rock. Caution is advised, it has no safety devices.
With a view of the Bornengo Pass, we continue our hike and past the junction to the Maighelspass until we reach the Grava plain. Here they are! The numerous small and large stone mandli, which were built over the years by the hikers during a rest. We soon get to work, because we immediately see that there are still enough stones. It is fun to enrich the colony with another object and to bring joy to future hikers.
Geheimtipp
A visit to the Maighelshütte is worthwhile. Here you will find coffee and cake with a view.
Sicherheitshinweis
Caution should be exercised if you skip the roaring waters at Piogn Crap with one step.
