With creative ideas in mind, we start our hike at the Oberalppass, into The Val Maighels. On the way we enjoy the diverse alpine flora with Turkish league or purple gentian, on bubbly mountain streams and on the clear blue mountain lakes. On the plain Plidutscha we cross the young Rhine, which still flows here as a lively stream to Tale. And after the lakes Urlaun and Carin, we reach the Piogn Crap, where the water of rein da Maiggel is forced through a narrow crevice in the rock. Caution should be exercised, it has no safety devices.

Over the Bornengo Pass, we continue to walk past the junction to the Maighels Pass until we reach the Grava plain. Here they are! The numerous small and large Steinmandli, which were built over the years by the hikers during a rest. We get to work immediately, because we immediately see: stones still have enough. It is fun to enrich the colony with another object and to bring joy to future hikers.

A visit to the Maighelshütte is worthwhile. Here you will find coffee and cake with a view.

caution is required if you skip the roaring waters at Piogn Crap with one step.

From the Oberalp Pass we follow the marked hiking trail to Lake Toma and the Maighelshütte. However, we hike below Lake Toma and the Maighelshütte past towards Bornengo - and Maighelspass. We also pass the Maighelspass junction until we reach the Grava plain after about 15 minutes. We cover the way back on exactly the same route.
