Details

Description

Our track runs almost straight as a thread into the Val Milar as far as point 1898. Here we climb up to the right in steep hairpin bends to Alp Caschlé, and if we look northwards we can already see our destination. A ski depot can be made at the foot of the east ridge, but if there is enough snow, the summit can be reached on skis. As there is no summit cross with a summit register, we build a small cairn to show that we have been here. We take our time to identify the mountains: Don't Piz Muraun, Cazirauns and Caschleglia almost look like the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau?

Descent:

Option 1: Along the ascent track back to Val Milar.

Option 2: Via Stavel da Caschlé to Foppa Verda and along the edge of the forest (wildlife rest area) into Val Milar. Beware of avalanches, if necessary slide down a little at the edge of the forest.

Geheimtipp

It's worth getting out early!

Sicherheitshinweis

In the steep slope near Foppa Verda there is a risk of avalanches in high winter. After an avalanche, the slope is often snow-free.

Directions

From the car park in a northerly direction into Val Milar to the point 1899. In spring it can have avalanche trains in the valley area. Then steeply right up to ALp Caschlé and in an arc from the south and over the east ridge to the summit. Descent along the ascent track or to the Uaul Flurin.
