Watercolours at the Medelserhütte

During the joint leisurely hut ascent, you will develop "mountain eyes" that slowly tune into the tensions and beauties of nature. The hike with 1200 meters of altitude difference in alpine terrain takes 3.5 hours with pure walking time. It sets a good sure-footedness with
ahead of a level of difficulty of T2.

At the top of the hut with the wonderful bird's eye view, you specifically choose seats and views with a panorama. While observing, you will learn about the glow of the colors caused by the sun's rays and their color effects and phenomena. By showing well-known watercolor techniques as well as theory and practical examples and experimenting with your own methods, you try to give painterly expression to the mood and sensation of the mountains. They capture the mountain atmosphere, put it on paper in an exciting way and get closer to a sensual snapshot of their own experience.
In exchange and discussions during the course, you will benefit from the different approaches and possibilities of creative skills. You can broaden your horizons and recharge your batteries in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

The Medelserhütte SAC is a hut of the Swiss Alpine Club. It sits enthroned in a saddle with a breathtaking east-west view. The hut attendants cook regional dishes with fresh products. If possible, sustainably produced products from regional manufacturers are used. A special highlight is the extensive cake buffet. In the new dining room, the sunsets can be experienced up close during dinner through the spacious panoramic window. Up there, the stars still sparkle from the sky without high beams!
