Pizzo dell`uomo Sommergipfel

At the Hospezi Santa Maria we start on the snow-covered military road into the Val Termine. If in spring the road is already cleared a bit, we use the snowfields on the left side, otherwise depending on the 10-15 minutes ski wearing is announced. 

Comfortably it goes towards Passo dell'uomo, if not avalanche trains in the lower part make it a bit more difficult to find the optimal ascent track. Already before the pass we start to leave the valley floor and pull up to the left, first a little steep, later flatter again. The landscape in the Ovi dell uomo area is varied, we cross hollows and large snow guards, always with a view of our destination and with the sun on our faces. The steep summit slope makes an impression and is not always easy to master. It must be well snowed in or thawed a bit in spring. Once at the top, it is not far to the summit cross and we have an unobstructed view of an impressive mountain panorama.

Variant for ascent: If the summit slope has too little snow, the target can be the gap on the right, point 2600.

Option 1 for the descent: Along the ascent track. At the lake we have to skin again briefly.

Option 2 for the descent: From the summit in an easterly direction via Foppa di Scai and Alpe di Croce down to the pass road

The tour can be done until mid-May.
