Caischavedra – Lag Serein – La Muotta – Cuolm da Vi
Once hidden under a thick sheet of ice, today a varied mountain landscape with various alpine habitats reveals itself around the Muotta. The Aare massif, with its hundreds of million-year-old rocks, tells stories. A watchful eye also makes small discoveries. The glaciers and streams have created valleys. They conceal moors and mountain lakes, jewels of the landscape. The panoramic view of the Medelser Group and the Anterior Rhine Valley down to Chur is also magnificent. For the ascent to Caischavedra we use the suspension railway. On mostly well-marked hiking trails, we cross Disentis' local mountain La Muotta, with a short rope safety in rocky terrain. From Cuolm da Vi you take the gondola down to Sedrun.

Equipment:
- Mountain hiking equipment; good footwear with profiled soles
- Food from the backpack; enough fluids
