Description

We are not the only ones! We don't have to worry about making a good ascent track. With the sun on our faces, we ascend in a southerly direction to the ridge, where we switch from the north to the south side. There are a few metres of descent here, which we tackle with the skins under our skis. Then it's just a few more hairpin bends to the summit.

We have opted for the descent via Lake Toma, which is why we now ski down a few metres in altitude again. You never know whether you should leave your skins on or not! In good conditions, the ridge up to Fil da Tuma can be mastered on skis. Otherwise you have to carry your skins. After this airy passage, we swing down to the snow-covered Tomasee, a special experience if you know the place from summer. Where the water leaves the lake, our descent continues to the Plidutscha plain and on to Tschamut.

Option 1: Descent on the east side via Nurschalas Grondas to Alp Milez

Option 2: Descent on the west side via Pazolaälpetli to Nätschen and Andermatt

Geheimtipp

The water of the young Rhine leaves the lake through a steep channel that runs down to Pliducha. This is passable in good conditions and an absolute insider tip. Cheers!

Sicherheitshinweis

On the descent to Tschamut, in the event of an unsafe avalanche situation, avoid the valley floor, because the galleries on the pass road above Tschamut no longer exist.
